Indonesia here we come!
One of the best things about this world is that you never know what's around the corner or who you might meet next. Earlier this year I was introduced to Saptoaji Agoesdji through Facebook, a gravity bike rider and pioneer from Bandung, Indonesia. Saptoaji leads an amazing crew of passionate riders, making bikes and forging new directions. I had to speak with him about how he started gravity bike riding..

GBHQ: How did you get into gravity Bike riding?
SA: The first time I saw the pictures and video on site gravity and I started to try myself and I invite my friends and then the team started trying.

GBHQ: When did you build your first bike?
SA: I first make a gravity bike late last year.

GBHQ: It looks like there is a great bike culture in Bandung. How many gravity bike riders are there?
SA: Bandung is surrounded by hills. They are high and and many roads can be used to play on the gravity bikes. Gravity bikers in Indonesia have a lot of about 20 people who have been seriously pursuing this sport and me personally. The team tried to continue to introduce this sport in Indonesia, followed by the exhibition and publication through print media, electronic media. Some people in Indonesia who like to bike already knew that I was the first to develop a gravity type bike in Indonesia.

GBHQ: Can you tell me a little bit about R2 cruiser gravity bike Bandung?
SA: A group of people who want to pursue and prove that the cruiser bike can be the fastest bike and we have motto with the local language (Sundanese language) "No Pedal Nu Penting Kawani" (No pedal most importantly dare). lol

GBHQ: What are the bikes?
SA: Ghost rider cruiser bike without pedals.

GBHQ: Do you build all of the bikes?
SA: Yes almost all the bikes in our team are made by me.

GBHQ: Do you develop all of your own ideas for the bikes?
SA: Yes really I kept looking for new ideas and develop my own bikes.

GBHQ: Do you have many hills where you ride?
SA: Yes in bandung we have some hills in dago, jatinagor, manglayang hill, sentul hill.

GBHQ: Do you hold any gravity bike races in Indonesia?
SA: Yes, I'm trying to develop and popularize the gravity bike in Indonesia.

GBHQ: Do you think gravity bike riding will grow in Indonesia?
SA: I hope gravity bikes in Indonesia grew rapidly as Australia and other countries.

GBHQ: What do you love most about riding gravity bikes?
SA: I love the challenge and the speed.

GBHQ: What is your dream for gravity bikes?
SA: I want to be the best and for my work to be useful for many people.

GBHQ: Do you want to travel and race in other countries?
SA: Yes, me and the team were preparing for departure to the Newton Playground in October.

GBHQ: Thank you for taking the time to speak with me Saptoaji.
SA: No problem
